LDEC partnered with Cordtsen Design Architects and Farrar & Associates to redevelop the former Newport Auto Center into a 30,000 square foot large-scale shopping center complex. The project included a 10,000 square foot building addition with a 3,000 square foot pad site with drive-up window capability. Significant architectural and site improvements were incorporated into the design development process including parking and circulation modifications, stormwater management system, utility upgrades and landscape/hardscape improvements. Extensive permitting was required with the Town of Middletown, RIDEM and RIDOT.
